Create a Claim

You can create claims either manually or directly from an existing order. This flexibility allows you to manage issues efficiently, whether they are general queries or related to a specific order.

When creating a claim, you will need to provide key details such as the claim type, a clear description, and a proposed resolution. Once created, claims can be tracked and audited throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring a clear record of all actions taken.

Quick Check - Before You Start
  • Confirm Claim Types and Claim Manager (and related claim settings) are configured under Site Settings > Claim.
  • Decide whether the claim is general (manual) or tied to a specific order (create from the order).

Manual Creation

Use this method for general claims that are not linked to a specific order.

Step Action
1 Click theCreate button in the main navigation bar.
2 SelectClaim from the dropdown menu.
3 Complete the required details in the pop-up form.
4 ClickAdd to create the new claim record.

Use this method for issues directly related to a specific order, such as incorrect shipments or damaged goods.

1 Navigate to the relevant order.
2 Click the Add Claim icon in the action widget above the order's preview image. Create Claim
3 Enter the necessary details in the pop-up form.
4 Click Add to submit the claim.

  • For product-specific concerns, creating a claim directly from an order automatically links the two, providing better context and traceability.
  • Before creating a claim, ensure that all necessary Claim Types and Claim Manager have been configured in Site Settings > Claim. This ensures the dropdown menus are populated correctly.

Troubleshooting

Why are dropdowns empty when I create a claim?

Claim Types and Claim Manager must be set up in Site Settings > Claim. If those values are missing, complete the configuration and try creating the claim again.

When should I create a claim from an order instead of manually?

Use Creating from an Order when the issue relates to a specific order (e.g. shipment or product problems). That method links the claim to the order automatically for better traceability.

I clicked Add but nothing seems to happen—what should I check?

Ensure all required fields in the pop-up are completed. If the form stays open, scroll for validation messages, fix any highlighted fields, and click Add again.
