Audit

The Audit section captures structured metadata when a compliance record is classified as an Audit, using dropdowns, searchable lists, and multi-select fields tied to Site Settings. Compliance managers and auditors rely on it for consistent numbering, auditor identity, frameworks, and customer tags across factories. Centralising the data improves traceability, reporting, and verification workflows.

Compliance Audit section fields

Quick Check - Before You Start
  • Confirm the record is an Audit type compliance entry so these fields are relevant.
  • Gather Audit Number, intended Audit Type, Auditor, Audit Code, and which Customer tags apply before you start data entry.

Fields and Descriptions

Field Description
Audit Number A required, unique identifier for the audit, used for traceability and searching.
Audit Type The category of the audit (e.g., Factory Assessment). Selected from a pre-configured dropdown. Configure in Site Settings › Compliance › Audit Type.
Auditor The organisation performing the audit (e.g., Asia Inspection). Chosen from a searchable list of approved auditors. Configure in Site Settings › Compliance › Auditor.
Audit Code The specific compliance framework being assessed (e.g., Target Ethical Sourcing Code). Selected from a list of codes. Configure in Site Settings › Compliance › Audit Code.
Customer The customers associated with this audit. You can select multiple customers, and each appears as a removable chip.

Troubleshooting

Why is Audit Number required and what if I duplicate one?

Audit Number is the unique identifier for traceability and search. Use your organisation’s numbering scheme; if the system rejects a value as duplicate, choose a new unique number consistent with your audit records.

I cannot find the right Auditor or Audit Code—what should I check?

Auditors and Audit Codes are configured in Site Settings › Compliance. Ask an administrator to add missing entries or disable obsolete auditors cluttering the list.

Which customers should I tag on the audit?

Tag every Customer who requires or recognises this audit for client-specific compliance evidence. Missing tags can weaken reporting for those accounts.

Helpful Tips

  • Keep the list of available Auditors in Site Settings up-to-date and disable any that are no longer used to keep the selection list manageable.
  • Always select the most specific Audit Code possible—this greatly improves the accuracy of reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure all customers who require or recognise this audit are tagged. This is crucial for demonstrating compliance to specific client requirements.
  • Be aware that some fields may be filled in automatically based on the templates or integrations your administrator has configured.
