Component Images
The Images tab is where you can upload, view, and manage all images related to a component, providing a clear visual reference for your teams. High-quality component images enhance clarity and support informed decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
The Images feature enables you to manage a visual gallery for each component. Upload multiple images, customise how they are displayed, and use built-in tools to annotate, reorganise, and review them. Each image is linked to a specific component and can be annotated or reorganised to suit your needs. Well-maintained component images help your teams make informed decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
Image Management
These actions allow you to add, remove, and organise images in the component gallery.
| Feature | Description |

| Add Image | Click the plus (+) icon to open your device's file explorer. Select the image or images you wish to upload. The selected images will automatically appear in the component's image gallery. (Available to all users with component edit access) |
| Drag and Drop to Add Images | Drag image files from your device directly into the image gallery area to upload them without using the plus icon. (Available to all users with component edit access) |
| Delete | Click the trash icon on an image to permanently remove it from the component. (Available to all users with component edit access) |
| Drag and Drop to Rearrange | Drag images to your desired position within the gallery to change the display order. (Available to all users with component edit access) |
Customising Image View
These options allow you to control how images are displayed in the gallery.

| View Icon | Click the view icon on the right-hand side of the image gallery to choose your preferred display style. (Available to all users) |
| Small Icon | A compact thumbnail layout for a quick overview. |
| Large Icon | An expanded view that provides space for descriptions and offers greater visual detail. |

Image Actions
These actions allow you to edit, organise, and review component images efficiently.

| Paint Icon | Launches the drawing tool, allowing you to annotate or mark up the image. (Available to all users with component edit access) |
| Trash Icon | Permanently deletes the image from the component. (Available to all users with component edit access) |
| Drag and Drop | Easily reorganise the order of images by dragging them to your desired position. (Available to all users with component edit access) |
Optimise Images for Performance
Before uploading, ensure images are compressed to a reasonable file size without sacrificing quality. This will improve page load times and create a better user experience.
