Component Inventory
The Inventory tab allows you to efficiently track and manage your component stock levels. To simplify organisation, inventory items are grouped by colour, making them easy to identify and manage.

You can maintain your component inventory from two locations within the system: the Component Application and the Shipping Application. Each inventory record captures essential information, including colour, warehouse location, and available quantity. These records are fully editable and support bulk actions for streamlined stock management. The list of available colours is configured centrally in Site Settings > Style > Colour, ensuring consistency across all components.

Helpful Tips
- Set Reorder Points: Establish minimum stock levels for each component to trigger reorder alerts. This proactive approach helps prevent stockouts and ensures a continuous supply for production.
- Use Barcode Scanning: Implement barcode scanning for receiving and dispatching components. This reduces manual data entry errors and significantly speeds up inventory management processes.
- Analyse Inventory Turnover: Regularly analyse inventory turnover rates to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock. This data can inform purchasing decisions and help optimise warehouse space.
