Component Documents

The Documents section offers a centralised, read-only view of all files associated with a component. These documents are vital for supporting collaboration, ensuring traceability, and maintaining compliance throughout the component's lifecycle. Typical content includes material certificates, laboratory test reports, and formal supplier documentation that buyers and quality teams must reference during approval.

Component Documents

The Documents interface is designed for quick and easy access, allowing your team to download and review important files whenever needed. All attached files are clearly listed in a scrollable view. Documents cannot be uploaded or deleted from this section—it is designed for viewing and downloading purposes only.

Document Description
Component Summary Provides an overview of the component's key details and specifications.
Orders Displays all related orders linked to the component for easy tracking and reference.
Styles Lists styles associated with the component, ensuring design and production alignment.

Core Actions

These actions are available to all users with access to the component record and allow for document viewing and retrieval.

Feature Description
View Documents All attached files are clearly listed in a scrollable view. Browse the list to locate the document you need. (Available to all users)
Download a File Click the download icon next to any file name to save it to your device. Alternatively, right-click on any file and use Save Link As to save it directly to your preferred location. (Available to all users)
Read-Only Access

Documents cannot be uploaded or deleted from this section. It is designed for viewing and downloading purposes only. To add or manage files, use the Component Files section.

Timely Uploads: Ensure all critical documentation is uploaded at the appropriate stage of your workflow to maintain a complete record. Use the Component Files section to add documents before they appear here.
