Component Status

The Status feature allows you to set and update the current state of a component record, helping your team track its lifecycle from development through to approval. Status changes are applied immediately and support effective filtering, reporting, and workflow management across your component library. Values typically map to sourcing stages—requested, sampled, approved, in stock—so supply and design share a common language on material readiness.

Status Dropdown

Component statuses are crucial for effective filtering, reporting, and workflow management. They provide a clear indication of where each component sits in its lifecycle, enabling teams to prioritise work, identify bottlenecks, and maintain visibility over development progress. Status values can be used to filter component lists, generate reports, and trigger workflow actions based on the component's current state.
