Duplicate

The Duplicate feature allows users to quickly create a new license by copying an existing one. This is especially helpful when managing multiple licenses with similar terms, structures, or categories.

Duplicating a license saves time and reduces manual entry errors by reusing predefined settings. All relevant fields—such as financial terms, licensor information, and license scope—are copied, with the option to modify before saving. The workflow suits renewal periods, territory splits, or successor agreements that reuse royalty structures and brand relationship data. Always assign a distinct contract number and refresh dates so each record remains unambiguous in reporting.

How to Create a Duplicate

  1. Click the duplicate icon in the top-left toolbar of the license view.
  2. A Duplicate License window will appear.
  3. Update key fields as needed:
    • Contract Number
    • Description
    • Licensor
  4. Click Duplicate to create the new license record.

Tips

  • Always change the Contract Number to avoid conflicts with existing records.
  • Review all fields before saving to ensure the duplicated license reflects the new agreement’s details.
