The Status control allows users to update the lifecycle stage of a license. Keeping statuses accurate ensures better tracking, compliance monitoring, and workflow clarity. Status reflects agreement states such as Draft, Active, Expired, Renewed, and Cancelled, signalling whether the license may be used on new costings or orders. Accurate values prevent expired or terminated agreements from driving commitments whilst still preserving records for audit when paired with historical dates and files.

Update License Status

To change a license's status:

  1. Click the Status button located at the bottom of the license card.
  2. Select the appropriate status from the dropdown menu.

The selected status is applied immediately and reflected across all linked modules.

Available Statuses

  • Draft – Initial stage; the license is not yet in use.
  • Active – The license is currently valid and in use.
  • Expired – Automatically or manually marked when the validity period ends.
  • Renewed – A continuation or extension of a previous agreement.
  • Cancelled – Manually marked as no longer valid or withdrawn.

Tips

  • Set licenses to Draft while preparing or reviewing terms.
  • Switch to Active once all approvals and validations are complete.
  • Use Expired and Cancelled statuses to support audit trail and contract lifecycle tracking.
