Colour Quantity & Pricing
The Colours & Pricing section of the Order application allows you to define quantities and pricing for each colour of a style or component in an order. You can either enter quantities manually or source them from existing inventory. Pricing is applied at the style or component level.
This section helps you allocate quantities by colour and configure their pricing. You can enter quantities directly or pull them from your current style or component inventory. Pricing fields become active only after you have entered a quantity for at least one colourway.

Quick Check - Before You Start
- Open the order with permission to edit Colour Quantity & Pricing.
- Ensure pack types and any order quantity display options are configured under Site Settings > Order > General Settings if you rely on pack rows or subtotals.
- Add at least one colourway quantity before expecting pricing fields to activate.
Layout Features
- Pack & In Store: These quantities are displayed directly under each colour, to see colour-specific pack and in-store quantities at a glance. Pack types are configured in Site Settings › Order › Pack.
- Approval & Advertised Actions: These status indicators have been moved to the Action column for better organisation and visibility.

Quantity Display and Calculations
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Sub Totals by Colour | When enabled in Site Settings > Order > General Settings > Order Quantity, sub totals are displayed for each colourway in the quantity grid. This provides a clear breakdown of quantities per colour, making it easier to review and verify order quantities. |
| Colourway In Store Date | When the Colourway In Store Date option is enabled in Site Settings > Order > General Settings, the date is automatically populated for new colourways added to an order. This ensures date consistency across all colourways and saves time during order entry. |
Ratio Packs
Ratio packs allow you to distribute quantities proportionally across different sizes using a ratio-based calculation. This feature is particularly useful when you need to allocate order quantities according to a predefined size distribution pattern (e.g., 2:2:1 for Small, Medium, and Large sizes).
How Ratio Packs Work
When adding or editing colour quantities, you can use the Ratio Calculator to break up ratio packs. The calculator distributes quantities proportionally across all size columns based on the ratio you define, ensuring accurate allocation without manual calculation.
Key Features:
- Proportional Distribution: The ratio calculator correctly returns calculated quantities for every size column, allowing you to distribute quantities proportionally across sizes.
- Break-up Icon: Use the break-up icon to access the ratio calculator when editing colour quantities.
- Automatic Calculation: Once you enter a total quantity and define the ratio, the system automatically calculates the quantity for each size.
Using the Ratio Calculator
- When adding or editing a colour quantity, locate the Ratio row in the quantity grid.
- Click the break-up icon to open the ratio calculator.
- Enter the total quantity and define the ratio for each size.
- The calculator automatically distributes the quantities proportionally across all sizes based on your ratio.
Ratio Calculator
The ratio calculator is available when adding colours through the Add Quantity option. It helps ensure accurate size distribution without manual calculations.
Ratio Pack Views
The Colour Quantity & Pricing section displays ratio packs differently depending on your site configuration. There are two views available:
View with Ratio Packs (Default)
When ratio packs are visible, you'll see:
- Ratio Row: Displays the ratio breakdown for each colour and size combination.
- Break-up Icon: Available for accessing the ratio calculator when editing quantities.
- Quantity Distribution: Shows how quantities are distributed across sizes based on the ratio.

View without Ratio Packs
When the Hide Ratio Packs option is enabled in Site Settings > Order > General Settings > Order Quantity, ratio-related elements are hidden:
- Ratio Row: Hidden from the quantity grid.
- Break-up Icon: No longer displayed.
- Quantity Display: Quantities are displayed directly on the main row without ratio breakdown.

Hiding Ratio Packs
You can hide ratio packs across your application by enabling the Hide Ratio Packs setting in Site Settings > Order > General Settings > Order Quantity.
When Ratio Packs are Hidden:
- On Screen View: The Ratio row and break-up icon are hidden when viewing colour quantities and pricing directly on the order screen.
- Add/Edit Colour Pop-up: When adding or editing colours, ratio information is no longer displayed in the pop-up window.
- Purchase Order Form: Ratio information is also hidden in Purchase Order forms, ensuring consistency across all document outputs.
Pricing
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Activation Condition | Pricing input is only available after adding at least one colourway quantity. |
| In-Line Editing | Pricing fields support direct editing. |
| Pricing Method (if item is a Style) | Determined by the Style > Colours & Pricing configuration, which supports: One Price and Price by Size. |
Market Pricing
The Market Pricing section mirrors Order Pricing on Style > Colours & Pricing—including Home Market and per-market Sell, Retail, and Buy Price where applicable. The layout follows the style’s Price Type: One Price or Price by Size.
In market pricing:
- When you create an order, market pricing from the linked style is copied into Order > Colour Quantity & Pricing.
- Edits you make here apply only to this order. They do not reflect back to Style > Colours & Pricing.
Example
- One Price Type

- Price by Size Type

Read-only for Home Market and Price Type
Price Type (One Price and Price by Size) and Home Market are set on the style and are not editable on the order. To change them, open Style > Colours & Pricing for the linked record and adjust Order Pricing there, then review this section on new or existing orders as needed.
Buy Price Total for Bulk Components
For Bulk Components Orders, the Buy Price Total is automatically recalculated whenever quantities are updated in the Colour Quantity & Pricing section. This ensures that the total displayed in the order and in the Purchase Order Form accurately reflects the current quantities and pricing.
Copy Colour Quantity
The Copy Colour Quantity function allows you to quickly copy colour quantities between styles, streamlining your workflow when multiple styles share the same colour distribution.
How to use:
- Select the style with the colour quantities you want to copy.
- Use the copy function to copy those quantities.
- Apply the copied quantities to other styles in your Bulk Order.
This feature is particularly useful when you have multiple styles that share the same colour distribution, allowing you to set up quantities quickly and consistently across your order.

Style Tags
The Style Tags column displays when enabled in Site Settings > Order > General Settings > Colour Quantity & Pricing. This shows the tags selected in Style > Colours & Pricing > Tags directly in your order workflow, so you can see how each colourway is tagged without leaving the order.
The Style Tags column is read-only on the order. To add, change, or remove tags, make your changes in Style > Colours & Pricing > Tags for the linked style.
Order > Colour Quantity & Pricing > Style Tags
Purchase Order document
The Style Tags column is not included on generated Purchase Order documents, whether the on-screen column is enabled or not. See Site Settings > Order > General Settings > Colour Quantity & Pricing.
Approval & Advertised Actions
The Approval and Advertised status indicators in the Colour Quantity & Pricing section have been moved to the Action column for better organisation and visibility.
Advertised Status
The Advertised status controls the visibility of advertising-related activities in the Order > Critical Path.
- Display: Shows as a yellow icon in the Action column.
- When enabled: Activities with the condition Advertised are immediately triggered and displayed in the Critical Path, allowing teams to track advertising-related milestones.
- When disabled: Activities with the condition Advertised are automatically removed from the Critical Path, ensuring the workflow accurately reflects the current order configuration.
- Editing: The Advertised status can be edited in the popup window only, providing a focused editing experience.
Approval Status
The Approval status indicates the approval state for colour quantities.
- Display: Shows as a blue icon in the Action column.
- Editing: The Approval status can be edited in the popup window only, providing a focused editing experience.
This dynamic behaviour ensures that advertising-related activities only appear when relevant, keeping the Critical Path focused on applicable tasks. For more information about how conditions work in Critical Path, see Order > Critical Path > Conditions.

Troubleshooting
Why can’t I enter prices on the order?
Pricing fields stay inactive until at least one colourway quantity exists. For styles, the pricing method comes from Style > Colours & Pricing (One Price, Price by Colour, Price by Size).
Steps to resolve:
- Use the plus (+) icon to add quantities for one or more colourways.
- Confirm the linked style’s pricing configuration matches how you expect to enter sell and retail values.
Why can’t I change Price Type or Home Market on the order?
Market Pricing on the order is a copy of the style’s Order Pricing layout. Price Type and Home Market are defined on Style > Colours & Pricing and stay read-only on the order so every order for that style shares the same structure.
Steps to resolve:
- Open Style > Colours & Pricing for the linked style and update Order Pricing (including Home Market or price type if your permissions and process allow).
- For orders created after the change, the new structure is copied into Market Pricing.
- If an order was created before the style change, refresh your process: you may need to re-check or re-enter amounts under Market Pricing to match the updated layout.
Why don’t I see ratio rows or the ratio calculator?
Ratio UI can be hidden by Hide Ratio Packs in Site Settings, or you may be using a flow where ratio is not shown.
Steps to resolve:
- Check Site Settings > Order > General Settings > Order Quantity and disable Hide Ratio Packs if your site should show ratios.
- Add quantities via Add Quantity when you need the Ratio Calculator (see the ratio section on this page).
Why don’t I see the Style Tags column?
On-screen visibility is controlled in Site Settings > Order > General Settings > Colour Quantity & Pricing. If Style Tags is turned off there, the column does not appear in Order > Colour Quantity & Pricing and is not available in Search > Order.
Tag values always come from Style > Colours & Pricing > Tags; the order and Order Search only display them (you cannot edit tags from those views).
Advertised or Approval changed—why did Critical Path activities change?
Advertised drives condition-based activities on Order > Critical Path; editing is only in the quantity pop-up Action column.
Steps to resolve:
- Open the colour quantity pop-up from the Action column and set Advertised or Approval as required.
- Review Critical Path to confirm activities that use the Advertised condition appear or clear as expected.
