Testing
The Testing section of the Order application allows you to manage quality assurance tests, track test completion, and maintain comprehensive test documentation for each order. This section supports component-level testing, file organisation, and collaborative workflows through comments and approvals.
The Testing section provides a structured approach to managing quality tests throughout the order lifecycle. It integrates with components defined in Style > Definition, enabling you to track tests for specific materials and components used in production. The section is organised into three main areas: Components, Files, and Notes, each serving a distinct purpose in the testing workflow.
Quick Check - Before You Start
- Confirm the style has components in Style > Definition so the Components list is meaningful.
- If you use the Test Library, verify Site Settings > Order > QA Test contains the templates your team expects.

Sections
The Testing tab is divided into three main sections:
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Components | Displays existing components from Style > Definition. Each component can have associated tests with descriptions, report numbers, and completion status. |
| Files | Provides file and folder management for organising test-related documents, certificates, and supporting materials. |
| Notes | A dedicated area for capturing test-related notes, observations, and internal documentation. |
Components Section
The Components section displays all components that have been configured in Style > Definition for the associated style. This ensures that testing can be tracked at the component level, providing granular visibility into quality assurance across all materials and parts.
Component Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Component | The component name and details as defined in Style > Definition (e.g., Fabric, Trim, Branding, Labels). |
| Test Description | A user-entered description of the test being performed or required for the component. |
| Report Number | A unique identifier or reference number for the test report. |
| Completed | A checkbox that, when marked, indicates the test has been completed. |
| Completed Date | Automatically displays the date when the test is marked as completed. This field is populated when the Completed checkbox is checked. |
Adding Test Information

- Click in the Test Description field to enter a description of the test.
- Enter the Report Number in the corresponding field.

Troubleshooting
Why is the Components section empty?
Components come from Style > Definition for the linked style. If none are configured, there is nothing to attach tests to.
What to do: Add or update components on the style, then reopen the order Testing tab.
Why can I not find a test in the Test Library search?
The library is populated from Site Settings > Order > QA Test. Missing entries were never created or are inactive.
Why is my upload failing for a test file?
Individual uploads are limited to 500 MB. Reduce file size, split archives, or store very large assets elsewhere and link via notes or attachments where your process allows.
