Planner Budget Target
The Budget Target section in the Planner module allows users to define key financial and quantity goals as part of the planning process. This section integrates with backend templates to automatically calculate budgets, margins, and cost targets. By setting budget targets, users can ensure their plans align with business expectations and profitability goals.
Users can input a planned quantity and select a predefined budget template. Based on these values, the system auto-generates related financial metrics for planning and decision-making. These metrics help ensure all planning aligns with business expectations and profitability targets.
Editable Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Target Budget | Dropdown field used to select a budget template. These templates are managed under Site Settings. |
| Target Quantity | Free-text field for entering the planned or forecasted quantity for the style(s). |
Auto-Calculated Fields
Several fields are automatically calculated and read-only, including:
- Unit Cost: Calculated cost per unit based on the target budget template and target quantity.
- Margin: Calculated profit margin based on the unit cost and selling price.
- Selling Price: Calculated price at which the product will be sold, derived from the target budget template and margin.
- Total Budget: Calculated total budget based on the target quantity and unit cost.
These fields are derived from:
- The selected Target Budget Template
- The Target Quantity
This ensures consistency across the planner and removes manual calculation errors.
Admin Configuration Required
Ensure the Target Budget Template is configured in Site Settings before using this feature. Budget logic and calculation formulas are defined centrally and impact how targets are displayed and validated.
