Comments

The Comments section in the Planner module provides a threaded discussion space for real-time collaboration. It enables teams to exchange feedback, clarify plans, and conduct internal reviews tied to specific planner milestones and schedules. Use it for seasonal planning discussions, range review notes, and buy plan feedback so merchandising and planning conversations stay anchored to the plan record.

This feature promotes transparency and cross-team communication throughout the planning lifecycle. Each comment includes the author's name, a timestamp, and optional visibility restrictions to support both internal and external workflows. Comments are organised chronologically, creating a clear audit trail of discussions and decisions.

Planner Comments

Tips
  • Pin important comments to keep critical context and decisions visible at the top of the thread for all team members.
  • Use locked comments when discussing sensitive information, pricing strategies, or internal-only matters that should not be visible to external stakeholders.
  • Organise discussions by topic using clear, descriptive comments to make it easier for team members to find relevant information later.
  • Track decisions and approvals by using comments to document key decisions, ensuring there's a clear record of who approved what and when.
  • Comments are persistent and form part of the planner record's permanent history, making them valuable for audit trails and project retrospectives.
