Dates

The Dates section in the Planner module displays and manages important timestamps related to a planning record. It includes both system-generated and manually editable dates, helping teams align tasks, milestones, and delivery schedules. Typical uses include planning season windows, range review deadlines, and buy plan milestones so merchandising and planning share one calendar for the plan.

This section ensures that key dates tied to the planner’s lifecycle are clearly recorded and accessible. It supports editable calendar fields for planning accuracy and fixed system metadata for traceability and auditing purposes.

Tips
  • Set custom dates early: Establish key milestones (product drops, handover deadlines, go-to-market phases) at the start of planning to help your team track progress and identify potential delays before they impact delivery.
  • Review dates regularly: Schedule weekly reviews of custom dates to ensure they remain realistic as project scope evolves. Update dates promptly to maintain accurate visibility in summary reports and dashboards.
  • Use dates for filtering: Leverage custom dates in planner views and reports to filter by upcoming deadlines, identify overdue items, or group records by launch phases for better project management.
