Preview Image

The Preview Image provides a visual reference tied to the planning record. This read-only feature allows users to quickly identify or verify the planner based on its associated image. It often represents seasonal range or collection preview imagery so plans are recognisable at a glance in grids and cards.

Preview images are displayed on the summary card and within the planner detail view. These images are typically uploaded during the planner creation process or linked via associated styles. Users cannot edit the image from this section, but can view it in fullscreen.

Preview When Adding Styles (Fixed Group)

When adding styles through Fixed Group, the preview shows images for all styles you select in the add flow. This gives you a complete visual confirmation before you finalise the plan.

To check previews while adding:

  1. Start adding styles with Fixed Group selected.
  2. Select one or more styles; each chosen style displays its preview image in the list.
  3. Review the images to confirm selections before saving to the Planner.

Helpful Tips

  • Preview images are especially useful for product planners and visual merchandisers.
  • Ensure the image uploaded during creation is high quality for best visibility.
  • This is a read-only field—image changes must be made during style upload or planner creation.
  • Use the fullscreen viewer to inspect image details before making planning decisions.

Troubleshooting

Why is the preview image blank or low quality?

The image usually comes from planner creation or linked styles; a missing or compressed source file shows poorly in the sidebar.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Open the fullscreen viewer to confirm whether the source asset is genuinely missing or only the thumbnail is small.
  2. Update imagery at planner creation or on the linked style record, then refresh the planner.
I need to swap the image but this section will not let me edit—what should I do?

The Preview Image widget is intentionally read-only.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Edit the image during Create Planner or adjust the linked style’s artwork per your media process.
  2. Reload the planner after the upstream image changes.
Fixed Group previews look wrong compared to my final selection—why?

During Fixed Group style adds, previews reflect each style you select before you save the plan.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Re-run the add flow and verify each selected style shows the expected preview before saving.
  2. Remove mistaken styles from the selection list if the wrong product image was chosen.
