Costing Reports

The Costing Reports provide comprehensive financial analysis and supplier quote comparison capabilities across all costings in your system. These reports are essential for pricing decisions, margin analysis, supplier negotiations, and range planning workflows, enabling teams to make informed sourcing decisions and maintain financial visibility throughout the product development lifecycle.

Costing Reports offer four main report types designed to support different aspects of financial management and supplier analysis:

  • Costing Quotes: Compare supplier quotes across multiple costings for informed sourcing decisions
  • Costing Summary: Track costing status, financial metrics, and supplier information across your product range
  • Forecasted Margins: Analyze key financial metrics for forecasting and margin analysis
  • Range Sign Off Summary: Review and approve costings at a collection or range level

These reports help teams:

  • Compare supplier quotes and pricing across multiple costings
  • Track financial metrics including margins, profits, and EBIT
  • Make informed sourcing and pricing decisions
  • Support range planning and approval workflows
  • Export data for analysis and reporting
  • Monitor costing status and completion across collections

All values in the costing reports are automatically synchronised with the corresponding fields in the Costing records, ensuring the reports always reflect the most current costing data.

Costing Quotes

The Costing Quotes report provides a comprehensive view of supplier quote data from all costings. This report displays quotes for all suppliers in each costing, enabling you to compare supplier quotes across multiple costings and make informed sourcing decisions.

Collection The seasonal or thematic grouping the style belongs to (e.g., SS24 Drop 1, Holiday 2024). Site Settings > Style > Collection
Customer The customer or retail channel for the costing. Site Settings > Company > Customer
Department The department responsible for the style (e.g., Menswear, Footwear, Kidswear). Site Settings > Order > Department
Designer The designer who created the style. Site Settings > Company > Staff
Factory The factory associated with the supplier quote. Costing > Supplier
License The licensing agreement related to the style. Used for tracking intellectual property rights. Site Settings > Style > License
Season The fashion season the style belongs to (e.g., SS25, FW24). Seasons serve as key reference points in planning and reporting. Site Settings > Style > Season
Status The current status of the costing (e.g., Draft, Approved, Completed). Costing > Side Widgets > Status
Story The design concept or theme associated with the style (e.g., Back to School, European Summer). Site Settings > Style > Story
Sub Category More specific product classification under the main category. Site Settings > Style > Category
Sub Type Further refinement of the product type. Site Settings > Style > Type
Style The style number associated with the costing. Style > Details
Type The style type that helps categorise products (e.g., Tops, Bottoms, Outerwear). Site Settings > Style > Type

Forecasted Margins

The Forecasted Margins report displays key financial metrics automatically calculated and updated from the corresponding fields in the Costing. This report is essential for financial forecasting and margin analysis, providing visibility into profitability metrics including gross margins, EBIT, and total costs.
