Details
The Details section in the Sales Order module displays customer-provided, read-only metadata that summarizes the financial scope, customer identity, and logistical details of a sales order. This view-only section ensures that all stakeholders can align on order commitments without the risk of unintentional edits.
This section presents a summary of the key information associated with a sales order. All fields are populated by the customer and cannot be modified by internal users. It supports accurate fulfillment, payment scheduling, and internal review without manual intervention.
Quick Check - Before You Start
- Open the sales order with a role that can view Details
- Remember every field is read-only for internal staff; fixes happen in the buyer portal or via your customer-service process
- Compare Payment Status and totals against finance before releasing goods

Troubleshooting
Why can’t I edit a value in Details?
The module treats Details as buyer-supplied data; internal users cannot change it here.
Steps to resolve:
- Ask the customer to update their portal profile or resubmit the order segment your process allows
- Follow your company’s exception workflow if a correction is mandatory before shipment
Why do totals not match what finance received?
Tax, discount, and currency fields are calculated from the buyer’s submission at order time.
Steps to resolve:
- Compare Total Inc. Tax with the payment gateway or ERP invoice
- Check whether subsequent credits or partial shipments changed balances outside this view
Why is Payment Status stuck even after we charged the card?
Status reflects the buyer portal integration timing.
Steps to resolve:
- Allow a short sync window, then refresh the order
- If it persists, escalate to the team that manages the sales order payment connector
