Duplicate a Shipment

The Duplicate function creates a new shipment by copying core details from an existing record, which saves time for similar or recurring lanes. Carried fields typically include Shipment Method, Origin, and Destination, while linked orders are not copied so you assign fresh lines on the new record. Adjust the pop-up fields as needed before saving the duplicate. Duplication is ideal for cloning shipment configuration across recurring routes, split containers, or back-to-back bookings where lane setup stays the same but orders and dates differ.

How to Duplicate a Shipment

Step Description
1 Click the Duplicate icon in the side widgets menu of the shipment record.
2 In the pop-up form, review and edit the fields as required.
3 Click Duplicate to create and save the new shipment.

Helpful Tips

  • For Recurring Shipments: Use this feature for regular shipments to the same destination. It pre-fills key logistics details, so you only need to update the dates and add the new orders.
  • Splitting Large Orders: When splitting a large order across multiple containers, duplicate the first shipment to ensure details like Origin and Destination remain consistent. You can then assign a unique Container number and ETD to each new shipment.
  • Always Verify Dates: The ETD and ETA are copied from the original shipment. Always review and adjust these dates to reflect the timeline of the new shipment before saving.
