QA Test
The QA Test section enables users to define and manage quality assurance tests that are applied across orders. QA tests are essential for standardising inspection procedures and ensuring that products meet required quality benchmarks before shipment or approval.

Each QA test represents a type of inspection (e.g., Fabric Shrinkage, Colour Fastness, Needle Detection) and may be applied at various stages of production or pre-shipment. These assignments help teams enforce quality protocols and generate consistent QA reports.
The QA Test section allows you to create a consistent set of quality checks that can be assigned and tracked across order records. These tests help ensure that inspection procedures are clearly defined and provide visibility into quality metrics by test type.

Quick Check - Before You Start
- You can edit Site Settings › Orders › QA Test
- Align test names with external labs or factory QC checklists
- Create tests here before users pick them from the Test Library on orders
Managing QA Tests
Add QA Test
- Click the Add New button at the top left.
- Enter the QA test name, category, and any required parameters.
- Click Save to add the test.

Edit QA Test
- Click the pen icon next to the QA test you'd like to modify.
- Make the required updates to the test name or associated settings.
- Click Save to apply the changes.

Delete QA Test
Common Pitfall
Deleting a QA test removes it from selection lists and can confuse historical test records. Disable when the procedure is retired but must remain visible on old orders.
- Single delete: Click the trashcan icon next to a QA test and confirm the deletion.

- Bulk delete: Use checkboxes to select multiple QA tests, then confirm deletion.

Other Actions
- Filter – View QA tests by Status (Enabled or Disabled).

- History – Export a detailed log of QA test changes and version history for auditing purposes.

- Export – Download the complete list of QA tests in
.xlsxformat.
Table Flexibility
Users can tailor the table layout using the following controls:
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Sort by Ascending or Descending | Reorder QA tests alphabetically or by creation date. |
| Pin Column | Lock important columns in place while scrolling. |
| Autosize This Column | Automatically resize the specific column to fit its content. |
| Autosize All Columns | Applies autosizing on all columns. |
| Choose Columns | Show or hide individual table columns. |
| Reset Columns | Return the table to the default configuration. |

Where QA Tests Are Used
QA tests defined here populate the Test Library and are used in the following areas:
| Area | Description | Documentation |
|---|---|---|
| Order > Testing | Assign QA tests to order components via the Test Library when adding test activities. Search and select from your configured QA tests when recording test descriptions, report numbers, and completion status for each component. | Order › Testing |
| Reports > Component Test Summary | View and manage test completion status across orders. The report displays Outstanding, Completed, or All tests, and allows you to mark component tests as completed. QA tests assigned to orders appear in this report. | Reports › Order › Component Test Summary |
Configure Before Use
Define your QA tests in this section before adding them to orders. Tests created here become available in the Test Library when adding test activities in Order › Testing.
Tips
- Use consistent naming conventions (e.g., "Bulk QC – Needle Test") to align with external lab requirements and make QA tests easy to filter across order records.
- Disable unused QA tests instead of deleting them to retain historical context and maintain audit trails.
- Export QA test history to support audits or quality procedure reviews.
- Group QA tests by category to support reporting and task assignment.
- Regularly export QA test definitions for SOP documentation or audits.
- Document QA test purposes and inspection criteria to help team members understand quality requirements.
Troubleshooting
Why is a test missing from the order Test Library?
It is likely Disabled or was never created in Site Settings.
Steps to resolve:
- Open Site Settings › Orders › QA Test
- Enable the row or add it, then refresh Order › Testing
Why do Component Test Summary reports look incomplete?
Tests may not be assigned on the order or categories may filter them out.
Steps to resolve:
- Open Order › Testing and assign the required tests per component
- Re-run Reports › Order › Component Test Summary with All filters
How do I align QA naming with a new lab SOP?
Steps to resolve:
- Export the current list for review with quality teams
- Rename or add rows, then Disable superseded names after a cut-over date
