Using the New Features
"Save As" Functionality
The "Save As" feature allows you to create a copy of your current file and save it to both the 3 Clicks Style file section and a specific folder.
How to use:
- Open your file in Adobe® Illustrator
- In the 3 Clicks Cloud extension, locate the "Save As" button
- Click the button to open the save dialog
- Choose your destination folder within the 3 Clicks Style file section
- The file will be saved as a copy, preserving your original file
This feature is particularly useful when you need to create variations of a design or maintain different versions of your work.
File Renaming
You can rename files directly within the extension interface without switching between applications.
How to use:
- Locate the file you want to rename in the 3 Clicks Cloud extension
- Click on the file name or use the rename option (typically indicated by an edit icon)
- Enter the new file name
- Confirm the rename action
The renamed file will be updated across both the extension and the 3 Clicks platform, ensuring consistency throughout your workflow.
Modified Date Synchronisation
The extension automatically synchronises modified dates between Adobe® Illustrator and the 3 Clicks platform.
How it works:
- When you save or update a file in Adobe® Illustrator, the modified date is automatically updated in the extension
- This date is then synchronised with the 3 Clicks file section
- You'll see consistent date information whether you're viewing files in the extension or in the 3 Clicks platform
This synchronisation happens automatically—no additional action is required on your part. The date reflects when the file was last modified, helping you track the most recent changes to your assets.
Troubleshooting
Why is the plugin not appearing in the Extensions menu?
This is the most common installation issue and is typically caused by Adobe® Illustrator not being fully closed during installation.
Steps to resolve:

- Reinstall the plugin using ZXP Installer following the Guide for macOS or Guide for Windows OS
- Reopen Adobe® Illustrator
- Navigate to Window > Extensions > 3 Clicks Cloud (refer to Step 5 in the installation guide)
- If the extension still does not appear, verify your Adobe® Illustrator version is compatible

Login failures are usually caused by incorrect credentials or an inactive account.
Steps to resolve:
- Verify your email address is in the correct format
- Confirm the password matches your 3 Clicks Cloud account
- Ensure your account is active -- contact your administrator if unsure
- Try logging in via the 3 Clicks Cloud web platform to confirm your credentials work
Why are my files not syncing between the plugin and the platform?
File sync issues can be caused by connectivity problems, unsupported file formats, or a stale plugin session.
Steps to resolve:
- Check your internet connection
- Verify you are using supported file formats (.svg, .pdf, and .ai) as listed in Features
- Check file permissions on the target folder
- Restart Adobe® Illustrator completely (close and reopen)
