General Settings

The Sales Order General Settings section provides administrative controls for configuring the behavior, branding, and workflow of the B2B online store. These options allow businesses to tailor the store experience for buyers while ensuring accurate processing, legal compliance, and visual consistency.

These settings determine how the sales order portal looks and functions—from payment instructions and order minimums to branding and terms of use. Setting these values correctly ensures a seamless experience for buyers and smooth order fulfillment for internal teams.

Quick Check - Before You Start
  • Gather branding assets (favicon, login logo) and legal documents (Terms of Sale, Terms of Use) in their final formats before uploading.
  • Align Deposit, MOQ Tolerance, and Payment Instructions with finance-approved policy text.
  • Pick the Order Critical Path template that matches how customer service tracks B2B orders end to end.

Available Configurations

  • Company Contact Details
Define the official contact information that will appear in the store’s public-facing pages (e.g., email, phone, address).

  • Deposit
Set the percentage of the order total that must be paid upfront as a deposit during checkout.

  • Company Favicon
Upload a small browser icon (favicon) that appears in the browser tab when users access the store.

  • Login/Registration Logo
Upload a logo for the B2B store’s login and registration screens to align with your brand identity.

  • MOQ Tolerance
Configure a tolerance threshold for Minimum Order Quantity, allowing slight deviations from MOQ without blocking the order.

  • Order Critical Path
Choose a default critical path template that will be auto-applied to every new sales order. This helps ensure milestone tracking from the start.

  • Payment Instructions
Display clear instructions for how and where to submit payment (e.g., bank details, reference format) during the order process.

  • Sales Order Status
Customize or update status labels used in your sales order lifecycle (e.g., Pending, Approved, Shipped).

  • Terms of Sale
Upload or define the terms of sale presented to users during checkout. These are typically legally binding.

  • Terms of Use
Provide a Terms of Use document displayed on the login screen. Users must agree to these terms before accessing the store.

Troubleshooting

Why do buyers still see old payment instructions?

Browser cache or unsaved changes can mask updates.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Re-open Sales Order General Settings, edit Payment Instructions, and click save even if text looks correct.
  2. Ask the buyer to hard-refresh or try an incognito window.
Why are orders skipping my MOQ tolerance rules?

MOQ Tolerance interacts with product MOQ data; misconfigured percentages allow small variances.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Confirm the tolerance percentage matches commercial policy.
  2. Test checkout with a controlled basket that should fail or pass per your expectation.
Why is the critical path missing on a new sales order?

The template must exist and be selected in Order Critical Path.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Verify the template is still active in Site Settings for critical paths.
  2. Re-select it in Sales Order General Settings and create another test order.
