Brand
The Brand section enables users to define and manage brand records associated with your styles. Associating styles with specific brands improves reporting, simplifies merchandising, and enhances buyer-facing documentation.

Each brand entry represents a house brand, licensed brand, or private label used in your business. Brands are typically displayed on tech packs, costing templates, sales orders, and dashboards, where they are used for filtering and attribution.
The Brand section allows you to maintain a consistent set of brand records that can be assigned across style records. These brands help ensure accurate reporting and provide clear attribution for merchandising and compliance tracking.

Where Brands Are Used
Brands defined in this section are used across the system for attribution, filtering, and reporting. The following areas consume brands configured here:
| Area | Description | Documentation |
|---|---|---|
| Style > Details | The Brand field appears on style records, allowing you to assign each style to a house brand, licensed brand, or private label. This value is used for filtering, reporting, and attribution throughout the system. | Style › Details |
| Component > Details | Components can be associated with a brand for attribution and filtering. The Brand field must match a value configured in Site Settings. | Component › Details |
| Site Settings > Style > Critical Path | Activity conditions can reference Definition > Brand, so specific critical path activities only appear when a style has the relevant brand assigned. | Site Settings › Style › Critical Path |
| Site Settings > Planner > Groups | Brand can be used as a filter when configuring Planner grouping rules, enabling styles to be grouped by brand in the Fixed Group view. | Site Settings › Planner › Groups |
| Site Settings > Style > General Settings | Default members can be assigned to new styles based on brand or category, so the right team members are automatically added when a style is created. | Site Settings › Style › General Settings |
| Reports > Style | Style reports include Brand as a filter and optional column for narrowing results and analysing data by brand. | Reports › Style |
| Reports > Costing | Costing reports include Brand as a filter and column for financial analysis and attribution by brand. | Reports › Costing |
| Reports > Planner | Planner reports include Brand as a filter for analysing planning data by brand association. | Reports › Planner |
| Site Settings > Costing > General Settings | Default members can be assigned to new costings based on brand or category, so the right team members have immediate access when a costing is created. | Site Settings › Costing › General Settings |

- Periodically export brand data to align with your marketing, retail, or licensing teams and ensure everyone is working with the same information.
- Disable legacy or inactive brands instead of deleting them to preserve the data integrity of past styles and orders.
- Export brand history to support audits or organisational reviews.
- Regularly review your brand list to ensure it aligns with current business processes and product offerings.
