Channels

Use Channels under Site Settings > Style to configure channel profiles and the Readiness Fields that must be satisfied before a style is considered ready for each route. Each profile defines what “complete” means so merchandising and compliance teams share one checklist per channel.

Once saved, those channels appear on individual styles under Style > eCommerce > Channels, together with a readiness percentage. Missing or empty required values are reflected there; the percentage runs from 0% (not satisfied) to 100% (all selected readiness rules met).

Quick Check - Before You Start
  • You need permission to edit Site Settings > Style configuration
  • Decide which sales routes (for example Retail, Wholesale, Online) need separate rules before creating profiles
  • Align Readiness Fields with how your teams fill Style > Details, Style > eCommerce, Codes, Packaging, Specification, and DPP & Compliance

Managing Channels

Add Channel

  1. Open Site Settings > Style > Channels.
  2. Click the Add New button at the top left.
  3. Enter Name, Description, and select Readiness Fields (see Configuring Channels Fields).
  4. Click Save to add the channel profile.

Configuring Channels Fields

When adding or editing a channel, the form includes the following fields:

Field Description
Name The channel profile label (for example the sales route or market). This appears wherever the channel is listed, including Style > eCommerce > Channels.
Description Supporting text that explains the purpose of the profile or any internal notes for administrators.
Readiness Fields The checklist of product data rules for this channel. Each selected rule must be satisfied on the style for that channel’s readiness percentage to reach 100%.

Delete Channel

Common Pitfall

Deleting a channel profile removes it from the master list. Existing style records may no longer show that channel or its historical readiness context in reports; confirm with operations before deleting profiles that were referenced in published or archived work.

  • Single delete: Click the trashcan icon next to a channel and confirm the deletion.

  • Bulk delete: Use the row checkboxes to select multiple channels, then confirm deletion.

Other Actions

  • Filter – Narrow the list (for example by Status such as Enabled or Disabled, where available).
  • History – Open the change log for channel profile updates where auditing is required.
  • Export – Download the channel list (for example in .xlsx format) for review or backup.

Table Flexibility

You can tailor the channels table:

Feature Description
Sort by Ascending or Descending Reorder rows by name, status, or creation date, depending on the columns available.
Pin Column Keep key columns visible while scrolling horizontally.
Autosize This Column Resize the selected column to fit its content.
Autosize All Columns Apply autosizing to every column.
Choose Columns Show or hide individual columns.
Reset Columns Restore the default column layout.

Where Channels are Used

Channel profiles defined here drive readiness on style records. The following areas use the configuration from this section:

Area Description Documentation
Style > eCommerce > Channels Lists each configured channel, shows outstanding readiness items, and displays the readiness percentage (0%100%) based on the Readiness Fields selected for that profile. Style > eCommerce

Troubleshooting

Why is my channel readiness stuck below 100%?

Readiness is calculated only from the Readiness Fields selected for that channel profile in Site Settings > Style > Channels. Any selected rule that is still empty or not satisfied lowers the percentage.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Open Style > eCommerce > Channels and note which requirements are still flagged for the channel.
  2. Complete the corresponding fields on Style (for example Details, eCommerce, Codes, Packaging, Specification, or DPP & Compliance) and save.
  3. If the checklist does not match your process, ask an administrator to review Site Settings > Style > Channels and adjust Readiness Fields for that profile.
Why do I not see a channel under Style > eCommerce > Channels?

Only channel profiles defined in Site Settings > Style > Channels are available on styles. If nothing is configured, the Channels area will not reflect your merchandising routes.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Confirm a profile exists under Site Settings > Style > Channels and is saved.
  2. Reload the style record and open Style > eCommerce > Channels again.
  3. If the profile was added recently, confirm your user can view the style and eCommerce tab.
