Collection

The Collection section allows you to define and manage seasonal or thematic groupings that styles can be assigned to. Collections help organise product launches, manage line planning, and improve reporting by delivery window or campaign.

Collections typically represent delivery windows (SS24 Drop 1, Holiday 2024) or themes (Back to School, Resort Capsule). These groupings allow merchandising and product teams to filter styles, allocate budgets, and track development by range.

  • You can edit Site Settings › Style › Collection
  • Align collection names with line plans or campaign names the business already uses
  • Prefer Disable for past collections instead of deleting when styles still reference them

Managing Collections

You can easily add, edit, and delete collections to keep your product ranges organised.

Add a Collection

  1. Click the Add New button in the top left corner.
  2. Fill in the required fields, such as the collection name.
  3. Click Save to create the new collection record.

  1. Click the pencil icon next to the collection you wish to modify.
  2. Update the name or any other details in the form.
  3. Click Save to confirm the changes.

Delete Collections

  • Single Delete: Click the trash can icon next to a collection and confirm the action to remove it.

  • Bulk Delete: Select the checkboxes for multiple collections, then click the delete button that appears at the top of the table to remove them all at once.

The toolbar provides several options for managing your collection list:

  • Filter: Toggle the view between Enabled and Disabled collections.
  • Export: Download the full list of collections in .xlsx format.
  • History: Export a complete change log for auditing and review purposes.

Customising the Table View

The collection table can be customised to suit your preferences using the following controls:

Sort by Organise collections alphabetically or by the date they were last updated.
Pin Column Lock important columns in place for consistent visibility while scrolling.
Autosize Column Automatically adjust column widths to fit the content.
Show/Hide Columns Choose which columns to display to create a tailored view.
Reset Columns Restore the table to its default layout.

  • Use Clear Naming Conventions: Adopt a standard format like SS25 Drop 1 or Holiday Promo for collection names. This makes filtering intuitive and helps with visual line plan alignment.
  • Archive, Don't Delete: It is best practice to Disable past or expired collections instead of deleting them. This preserves historical data and ensures that styles previously assigned to them remain accurate.
  • Track Seasonal Progress: Export the collection list at the start and end of each season. This creates a valuable record for tracking launch planning, sell-through analysis, and range reviews.

Troubleshooting

Why is a collection missing from style pickers?

It is likely Disabled or filtered out in the view you are using.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Open Site Settings › Style › Collection
  2. Use Filter to show Disabled or All
  3. Enable the collection or create a replacement and update styles
