Gender

The Gender section allows you to define and manage gender classifications used across your styles. These classifications—such as Male, Female, and Unisex—help structure filtering, reporting, and merchandising in both internal and buyer-facing workflows.

Gender classifications are used to categorise products and streamline the assortment planning process. They ensure consistent filtering across style libraries, dashboards, and exports. Assigning the correct gender to each style enhances clarity in planning, production, and sales.

Pro tips
  • Maintain Consistency: Use a standard naming convention (e.g., Mens, Womens, Unisex) to support accurate filtering and reporting across all teams and systems.
  • Preserve Historical Data: It is best practice to Disable outdated or unused gender types instead of deleting them. This preserves historical data integrity for archived styles.
  • Align with e-Commerce: Ensure the gender classifications used here match the categories on your e-commerce site to simplify product mapping and customer navigation.
