Season

The Season section allows you to define and manage seasonal classifications used across styles. These classifications help segment product development by delivery window, merchandising calendar, or launch campaign.

Seasons serve as key reference points in planning, reporting, and filtering styles. They are commonly formatted by year and drop (e.g., SS25, AW24 Drop 1) and are often referenced in costing, planning, and line reviews.

Quick Check - Before You Start
  • You can edit Site Settings › Style › Season
  • Agree a naming pattern (for example SS25, AW24 Drop 1) with planning and merchandising
  • Prefer Disable for past seasons unless your governance allows deleting master data

Pro tips
  • Use a Clear Naming Convention: Adopt a standard format like SS25 or AW24 Drop 1 for season names. This ensures consistency and makes filtering and reporting intuitive.
  • Archive, Don't Delete: It is best practice to Disable past seasons instead of deleting them. This preserves historical data integrity and ensures that past styles remain accurately categorised.
  • Align with Key Dates: When creating seasons, align them with your company's key financial and merchandising calendars to ensure seamless planning.

Troubleshooting

Why can't I find a season when creating a style?

It may be Disabled or named differently from what planners expect.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Open Site Settings › Style › Season
  2. Set Filter to show Disabled or All and locate the record
  3. Enable it or add a new season with the agreed code
How do I fix inconsistent season codes across reports?

Mixed naming breaks filters and exports.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Use Export to review the full list with stakeholders
  2. Rename or consolidate codes where your process allows
  3. Disable duplicates instead of deleting when historical styles still reference them
Where can I prove season master data changes?

Steps to resolve:

  1. Use History to download the change log
  2. Keep periodic Export snapshots during season transitions
