Style Documents
The Documents section in the Style module displays all files attached to a style record. These documents may include specifications, approvals, tech packs, and other supporting materials added during the product development process. Expect controlled outputs such as tech packs, line sheets, and formal specification documents rather than informal working files, which usually sit under Files.
This section is view-only and allows users to review but not modify files. Each document is listed in a row with its file name and a download icon for quick access.
Document Types
The Documents section includes the following document types that can be generated or downloaded for a style:
Style Document
The Style Document provides a comprehensive export of the style record, including key details, specifications, and associated information. Use this document when you need a complete reference of the style for handoffs, reviews, or archival purposes.
Typical contents:
- Style details and metadata
- Colour and pricing information
- Specification data
- Component and definition details
Style Specification
The Style Specification document exports the technical specification data from Style › Specification, including sketches, images, measurements, and construction notes. Use this document when you need a production-ready specification sheet for the factory, quality assurance handoffs, or supplier communication.
Typical contents:
- Sketches and technical drawings
- Reference or product images
- Measurement specifications by size and colour
- Construction notes and fit comments
For more on the source data, see Style › Specification.
Style Summary
The Style Summary document offers a condensed overview of the style, suitable for quick reference or sharing with stakeholders who need high-level information without full specification detail. It supports style management and product development tracking by providing a snapshot of the style's current state.
Typical contents:
- Style code and description
- Key attributes (brand, category, season, etc.)
- Status and pricing summary
- Colourway overview
Sample Request
The Sample Request document captures sample requirement details for the style, including types, sizes, colours, quantities, and deadlines. Use this document to share sample expectations with suppliers or to document sample requests for internal tracking.
Typical contents:
- Sample type and quantity
- Requested sizes and colours
- Due dates and completion status
- Notes and descriptions
For more on defining sample requirements, see Style › Samples › Sample Requirements.
License Approval PDF
The License Approval PDF generates a PDF document for licensor approval workflows. The document displays style images in a fixed layout suitable for formal approval processes.
Layout and content:
- Image display — The first 10 images from the style's image page are displayed in the same order as arranged in Style > Images
- Component information — Style components and descriptions are included (each description appears once)
- Format — PDF for printing, sharing, and archival
Use this document when submitting styles for licensor sign-off or when documenting approval for licensed product lines. The License Approval activity can be configured in Site Settings › Style › Activities.
License Approval JPG
The License Approval JPG provides the same content as the License Approval PDF but in JPG image format. Use this format when you need individual image files or compatibility with systems that prefer JPG over PDF.
Layout and content:
- Same image order and component information as the License Approval PDF
- JPG format for each page or image output
Image Order
To control which images appear in License Approval documents, arrange them in the desired order in Style > Images. The first 10 images will be used in the generated document.
View and Download Style Documents
To download a document:
- Locate the document in the list.
- Click the download icon next to the file name.
Alternatively, you can right-click on any file and use Save Link As to save it directly to your preferred location on your computer without having to download it first.

View Only
This section is read-only. Uploads and deletions must be completed earlier in the workflow or via the Files tab (if enabled). Use this view to reference documents that have already been finalised or approved.
Example
A designer or merchandiser may reference this tab to download the latest spec sheet or vendor-approved form before preparing a tech handoff or review meeting.
