Style Label

The Label section within the Style application allows users to tag styles with flexible, user-defined labels for easier filtering, organisation, and visual identification across the platform. Labels act as style-level classification tags so merchandising and design can group ranges consistently in searches, boards, and reports.

Style Label

Labels categorise styles by season, collection, design status, or other team-defined criteria. Each label can be colour-coded and reordered to align with workflows and enhance visual clarity during style management. This creates a consistent tagging system that helps teams quickly identify and filter styles across the platform.

Core Actions

These actions are available to users with access to the style record and allow for basic label assignment and removal.

Feature Description
Add Label Hover over the style's preview image and click the Add Label button that appears. In the pop-up window, either select an existing label from the list or create a new label directly within the pop-up. Click to apply the selected label to the style. (Available to all users with style access)
Remove Label Open the label pop-up by hovering over the preview image, then untick the label from the list. The label will be removed from the style preview. (Available to all users with style access)

Label Management

These features help organise and control the label library available across styles.

Feature Description
Edit Label Rename or change the colour of an existing label to keep the label library up to date.
Delete Label Permanently remove a label from the list of available options. This affects all styles that currently use the label.
Drag & Drop Rearrange label order for dropdown consistency across users. The order you set applies to the label selection list for all team members. *
Important Notes When Using Labels

Label Deletion: Deleted labels are permanently removed from the system. Any styles that previously used the deleted label will no longer display it. Exercise caution when deleting labels that may be in use across multiple styles.

Consistent Naming: Apply consistent naming conventions for labels to support easy search and filtering across the platform.

Colour Coding: Assign distinct colour codes to represent different collection launches, design phases, or approval stages for quick visual identification.

Best Practices

Use Consistent Conventions: Apply consistent naming conventions for labels to support easy search and filtering. For example, use prefixes such as Season, Collection, or Status to group related labels.

Colour for Quick Identification: Assign distinct colour codes to represent different collection launches, design phases, or approval stages. This helps team members quickly scan and identify styles at a glance.

Review Periodically: Review label options periodically to archive or delete unused tags and maintain a clean label environment. This keeps the label dropdown manageable and relevant.
