Permissions Required

This function is only available to users with create permissions for Styles. If you do not see this option, contact your system administrator.

Note

  • Dropdown fields (e.g., Type, Category, Tags, Factory, etc.) must exactly match the options configured in Site Settings.
  • Price rows must be structured correctly for Price By Size and Alt Retail Price formats.
  • After import, review the Import Summary for any failed entries and reasons for failure.

Troubleshooting

Why does the import reject dropdown values (Type, Category, Tags, Factory, etc.)?

Validation uses the lists configured in Site Settings. Typos, extra spaces, inactive options, or values that were renamed in Site Settings will fail for that row.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Open the matching Site Settings pages (for example Style Type, Category, Tags, Company Tags, Suppliers) and note the exact active option text.
  2. Update the spreadsheet so each cell matches a current option character-for-character.
  3. Re-upload the file and review the Import Summary for any remaining errors.
I cannot see Import Style in the menu—what should I check?

The import is only available to users with create permission for Styles.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Ask your administrator to confirm your role includes permission to create styles.
  2. Sign in with an account that is allowed to create styles if you use shared or limited-access logins.
The Import Summary shows price-related errors—what is usually wrong?

Price rows must follow the rules for your Price Type. For example, Price By Size requires a Size value on each price row, and multiple price types often require separate rows per type.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Read the Price Type, Size, and multi-row guidance in Style Import Fields and Rules.
  2. Correct the spreadsheet layout and values, then import again.
  3. Use the Import Summary to verify each failed row and the stated reason.
